Deborah Rhea
Seehorn was born on the 12th of May, 1972. Her most well-known character is the
role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) where she
was a two-time recipient of the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress in a
Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She was also on the NBC series Whitney
(2011–2013), ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash
2011-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12
1972. Her mother was an executive assistant for the United States Navy, while
her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved
frequently during her youth, living in Washington, D.C. and Arizona in addition
to in Japan. Following the footsteps of her grandmother and father She was
interested in drawing, painting and architecture at the age of a child. She
continued to pursue the visual arts, but she also had an increasing interest in
acting and was introduced to contemporary theater in college. She earned a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994.
While in college, Seehorn was looking to pursue a career in theater after the
encouragement of her acting coach. She attempted to make her mark by working
various other jobs within D.C. theater. Although she eventually managed to
secure major roles in local theatre productions, and was forced to work odd
jobs in order to make ends meet but she continued to work in the film industry
as a teacher filmmaker. Soon, she was able to find roles in television
productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very humorous
and funny" as her idol Bea Arthur. These roles were usually cancelled
after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was cast as Kim Wexler in the Breaking
Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, a
lawyer and the love-interest of the title Jimmy McGill/Saul G. Goodman (Bob
Odenkirk).
