California in 1970. Her parents relocated to Dallas just after she was born.
She educated at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual
Arts located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas. Later she received an BFA
diploma from Stephens College in acting and also studied at British American
Drama Academy. She also worked for six years at the Dallas Theatre Center, and
one year with Encore Company. She began her acting career in the theater before
her screen debut. The stage credits she has had in her theatrical career
include productions like "As You Like It", "A Funny Thing
occurred on the way to the Forum", "Measure for Measure",
"Baby" and "Chicago", among many more. Her breakthrough
performance was opposite Angelina Jolie in Michael Cristofer's critically
acclaimed HBO Telefilm Gia (1998) that made her popular to critics and audience
alike. Elizabeth showed off her charismatic acting skills after Frequency (2001
with Dennis Quaid) and Neil LaBute's sci-fi time travel film Nurse Betty
((2000) with Rene Zellweger). With many credits from theaters, TV series and
movies, Elizabeth Mitchell continues to do her best in the field of acting. The
actress broke her nose during the filming for the movie Frequency (2000). In
1994, she appeared in a Hertz Rent-A-Car commercial but "they pulled it
because of the O.J. thing." Living with David Lee Smith, ex-Brent from One
Life to Live (1968), in Manhattan's Upper West Side. They live in Dallas with
their parents, who are tax and real estate attorneys. After a lengthy run in
the stage as Rosalind the actress, she returned to the U.S. after having been
in Europe for a period of time. She was born in Los Angeles, California in the
year 1970. Her parents then moved to Dallas in Texas. In 1991, she graduated
from Booker T. Washington High School, Performing and Visual Arts, situated
within the Arts District of Dallas. In 1991, she graduated from Stephens
College with a Fine Arts degree. The actor was in Man and Boy (2002) together
with Ioan Gruffudd. It was broadcast on BBC 1 TV in March 2002.
