Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer, an Israeli actress, has
received praise for her performances. Her birthplace is in Tel Aviv and was
first discovered by Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first
English-speaking role as Eric Bana's wife in Munich (2005). Zurer has been in a
variety of Studio films since arriving in America, including Sony Pictures'
Vantage Point featuring William Hurt and Dennis Quaid Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive
Parts with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected alongside Jeff
Goldblum, and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks.
Darling Companion is a Lawrence Kasdan ensemble cast that includes Diane Keaton
and Kevin Kline. Warner Bros. Man Of Steel along with Russell Crow. She also
filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert, which she starred in alongside
Ewan McGregor and is waiting for the release of the movie The Last Knights by
the Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya, who is also starring Clive Owen. For her
role as Hostages' lead actress, she won the Gold Nymph Award at the 54th
Festival of Television in Monte-Carlo. Ayelet received the Israeli Film And
Television Academy Award for her role as the lead in Nina's Tragedies. She
received nominations for her role in the movies Only Dogs Run Free (from the Holy
Apple Field), Desperado, Rutenberg, and The Dybuk from Holy Apple Field. Zurer
was the winner of the Haifa International Film Festival critic prize and was
awarded a starred on Haifa's "film boulevard" for her achievements in
the local and international arenas. Zurer was awarded the Israeli Television
Academy Award for her performance in "In Treatment", an
internationally acclaimed television series that was adapted for American TV by
HBO. In 2014, she was nominated apposite herself for the year's top drama
"Shtisel" and was awarded the title of best actress in a show for her
portrayal of a brilliant surgeon confronted with the decision of life or death
in Hostages that was licensed to BBC4 and Canal Plus, and as an original format
for the American ABC. Golbary, Israel's most prominent women's clothing
company, is her "face". Ayelet is a producer and writer. Ayelet has
been working on a couple of her ideas in Israel and the US and has expressed an
interest in working with international directors from around the world,
including unknown writers/directors.
