Erika Jane
Christensen (born on the 19th of August, 1982) is an American actress and
singer whose filmography includes roles in Traffic (2000), Swimfan (2002), The
Banger Sisters (2002), The Perfect Score (2004), Flightplan (2005), How to Rob
a Bank (2007), The Tortured (2010) as well as The Case for Christ (2017). She
won the MTV Movie Award in Breakthrough Female Performance for Traffic and also
the Screen Actors Guild Award in Outstanding Performance by a Cast or a Group in
a Motion Picture for her role in How to Rob a Bank (2007) as well as The
Tortured (2010) and The Case for Christ (2017). Christensen was on the show
from 2010 until the end of the series in 2015 as Julia Braverman-Graham on the
NBC family drama Parenthood. She won a Gracie Award in 2014 for her performance
in the role. Christensen played Betty Beaumontaine in ABC's crime drama series
Wicked City. Christensen was born in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of Kathy
an engineer, and Steven Christensen, an insurance worker and human resource
executive. She has an older half-brother Nick, and two younger twin brothers,
Dane (who appeared in the film The Upside of Anger) and Brando. Her family tree
includes Irish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Welsh ancestry. Christensen was
raised in Seattle she moved with her family to Los Angeles at the age of four.
She began acting in television commercials for McDonald's, Volvo, and Volvo.
Christensen belongs to the Church of Scientology. In her 20s, her parents were
Scientologists. They raised her as one.
